Is homejobplacement.org a scam? I recently received some information regarding an opportunity presented by Jennifer Johnson of homejobplacement.org. Based on some of the information, I decided that I’d take a quick look and see what it was all about. As I go through my review process, we’ll talk a bit of baseball. Basically, what I like to do is use a 3-strikes and you’re out analogy.

I’m a big fan of Web sites that provide good information and are easy to navigate. Sites that don’t hide the important information, like how to contact them or does the opportunity cost money? Do I have to provide sensitive personal information to see more? Unfortunately for the homejobplacement.org site, I could give it three strikes based only on the site’s homepage.

When you first hit the site, you’re presented with text fields requesting your zip code, first name and e-mail address. To me, this request for private information is a red flag and I have to say strike-one! Most business opportunities only require a name and e-mail address. Unfortunately, it gets worse. The main page clearly states that your information is kept private and that it isn’t sold. However, the terms and conditions clearly state that the information you give can be used by the site, owners of the site, affiliates of the site, et cetera. That says one thing to me: SPAM in my e-mail box.

Homejobplacement.org Helps You Become A Certified Auction Listing Agent

Based on that information alone, I’m not very keen on this particular business opportunity. Here’s the real skinny, though. This business promotes the idea of charging you $197 to become a certified auction listing agent. There are a couple of issues that I have with this. One, the site says that you can make money with no training, no degree and no prior experience. If this is the case, we have to ask ourselves, “Why do I need to go through training?” The bottom line is that you don’t. Ebay doesn’t require it and when you get right down to it, most of the Fortune 500 companies from around the world don’t pay people to process their eBay auctions. Two, learning to list items on eBay is free. I don’t need training in order to do that.

Is homejobplacement.org a scam? Let’s put it this way, if you do a Google search using the keywords homejobplacement.org and scam, you’ll get thousands of hits.

Those hits also bring up similar sites that have been put up by Angela Penbrook and Angel Stevens. Both of these people have Web sites promoting the exact same thing and basically use almost the exact same text on their sites. When you do a Google search on either Angela Penbrook or Angel Stevens, you don’t even have to use the word scam.

The top results of either search are chock full of the word scam. If I can’t find out any information about an opportunity using Google that doesn’t associate that opportunity with the word scam, I have to give it a huge strike-two.

F Rating For Homejobplacement.org

The nail in the coffin or the final curve ball that causes the homejobplacement.org bat to swing and miss is the fact that the Better Business Bureau gives this company an “F” rating. Say it with me, steeee-rike-THREE! Homejobplacement.org, you’re outta’ there.
