Shadowshopper.com is one of many sites offering consumers a way to be a secret shopper or mystery shopper.
Shadow shopper has been around since October of 2003 and was incorporated in June of 2004 in Nevada.
I took a look at Shadowshopper.com and wanted to pass along some information that I think is important to know when you’re looking for ways to make money online. As always, I’ll be using my three-strike method to rate this business opportunity.
ShadowShopper.com Is A Great Looking Site
First, let’s take a look at the overall appearance of the site. Since most of us are very visual, we tend to evaluate things based on how they look.
For the record, Shadowshopper.com has a great looking site. It’s easy to navigate and it provides clear information about its purpose. Shadowshopper.com does charge a fee for their service and they are very clear about that.
You can sign up with their bronze package for free, however, if you want to continue using their service, you’ll have to pay $4.95 and bump up to the Gold package. What’s unclear about this fee is whether or not it’s a one-time fee or if it’s a fee that is periodically charged to your credit card. However, upon further investigation, I found that when you click to sign-up for the gold program, it’s very clear that the $4.95 fee is for one month. Other options are a 3-month membership for $37.95 and a 1-year membership for $99.95.
Given the fact that Shadowshopper.com does provide easy access to many secret shopper opportunities all in one convenient spot, I would say that they have a right to charge a fee for doing this.
A D From BBB For ShadowShopper.com
That being said, I always turn to our friends at the Better Business Bureau before making a decision on whether or not I’m going to invest in an opportunity. Despite the fact that Shadowshopper.com looks like a great opportunity, I found that the BBB gives them a rating of “D”. This is based upon the number of complaints that they have received about Shadowshoppper.com and how the company responds to those complaints. Strike one.
Within the last thirty-six months, there have been 90 complaints about Shadowshopper.com. Normally, this would raise a red flag for me. To their benefit, though, 80 of those complaints have been resolved and 10 of them have been administratively closed. To me, this means that Shadowshopper.com, at the very least, is responsive to their customers.
Shadowshopper.com Has Been Around For A Long Time
Shadowshopper.com has been in business for over 6-years. To me, this says a lot. I think that it’s a legitimate way to become a mystery shopper and provides easy access to a large database of secret shopper opportunities. Taking those opportunities is up to you, though. Keep in mind, with a bit of searching, you can find all of these secret shopper opportunities for free at other Web sites. Also take into consideration that I only gave Shadowshopper.com one strike.
As always, I invite you to look for yourself at this business opportunity. Would you invest your hard-earned money into it? Let me know.
