Donald Trump is synonymous with business, so anything that has his name attached to it automatically garners a lot of attention. His latest venture, The Trump Network, is a multi-level marketing program in the nutritional supplements and weight loss segments. How does it stack up, really? Let’s find out.
The Trump Network: How It Works
The Trump Network is a traditional MLM, but with some extra opportunities for earning. The products are mainly nutritional supplements. When you sign up, you will be given the option of purchasing the FastStart-to-Profit scheme, where you will pay nearly $500 for The Trump Network starter kits, access to your marketing web site, etc. As in a regular MLM, the Trump Network features different levels of commissions, which are directly related to the number of people you and your downlines recruit.
The company claims that its product, the PrivaTest system, can tell the consumer what nutrients your body is most in need of, so that the supplements can be targeted toward their personal needs.
The Trump Network also provides a Web site for marketing, along with training material on marketing online.
The Trump Network: What Works
There are many out there who have been jaded by MLM scams, and having Donald Trump’s name associated with the opportunity is a plus. Trump’s name might make it easier to bring in business as a marketer.
The products too, are packaged and presented well, and the area of nutritional supplements is a growing market segment as well. The commission levels seem good, although a bit complex.
The only actual “requirement” to start off is the marketer kit, and the FastStart-to-Success kit is optional at this point.
The Trump Network: What Doesn’t Work
One of the major turn-offs of The Trump Network is the price. To get started with a decent chance of making any money, a marketer has to spend $500 for the starter kit.
Although the program can be started without the purchase, most components such as web site access is only provided to those who purchase the starter kit.
With the market now chock-full of health and nutrition-based MLMs, the Trump products are more expensive than the other options out there. That might make the products tough to sell.
Some initial reports have also indicated that the support promised by the Trump Network, especially in the area of internet marketing, is still under development. So, unless you’re already an internet marketing expert, you may have trouble finding your way around.
The Trump Network: The Bottom Line
The Trump Network opportunity is a MLM opportunity. If you already have some experience in this field, you can make an informed choice. If not, consider doing some more research before starting off on your MLM venture.

For a nutrition based MLM, Trump Network seems to have its’ bases covered. What concerns me is people keeping up their autoships on a monthly basis. This seems to be a bit of a problem in the industry due to our hard economic times.
I joined Ideal Health, which turned into “TRUMP NETWORK”. I spent almost 12K on producst, plane fares, gas, Corp Rallies and Goal setting. Joined in 2005. I am on the product, believe in the product. I am 58 and have not been sick, nor my husband since, but no longer active in marketing. I live in Los gatos, Ca. And even though in 3 days more than 25 customers turned in to mkters, they gave up. I was angry about the debt at first, but it was my choice and no gas money to stop. They did teach me how to market, but it never really took in no. california. Since i can not afford health ins. and their supplements keep me healthy, I keep spending 209 a month. My health ins was for two 789. Rating four for product 2 for business.
