A site purely devoted to the types of jobs that work best within the schedule of a WAHM would be a very valuable resource.

Upon an initial visitation, JobsforMom.com appears to serve as a resource for WAHM’s. The home page offers the following categories for job searching: Home Business; Online Business; Internet Business; Work at Home Business; and, Home Based Business Opportunity. Additionally, along with a brief description of the site, JobsforMom.com also includes links such as Work At Home Jobs and How to Make Money.

However, when selecting any of these specified categories we were surprised by the results. Here is an example:

• Select the Home Business tab.
• Peruse the results that appear on the page, which includes a list of 8 “sponsored” search results.
• Furthermore, review the side bar of various topics ranging from Home Business to Business Marketing that appears to the right.
• Click on any one of the 8 sponsored links and you find that you are directed away from JobsforMom.com to the website advertised in the link.

Not All Links on JobsforMom.com Are Really Helpful

In our review, we found that JobsforMom.com is essentially a modified search engine, with the exception that the search results are paid by sponsors. While this site may be a great starting point for a work at home mom, it may not be the most productive resource. We also found that some of the links are a bit outdated, resulting in error pages, or that the user is led to unnecessary or unhelpful links. For example: clicking on the link for Franchise Opportunities leads the user to links for BBQ Chicken recipes.

Although the site is called JobsforMom.com, it is difficult to ascertain exactly how the site directly applies to moms who work from home. Essentially the work at home opportunities would apply to anyone, not just WHAM’s. The specific categories listed could apply to any type of person who wishes to work from home.

Job listings on this site are not endorsed by JobsforMom.com and, furthermore, may not be the best fit for work at home moms. Additionally, you may have to consider that some of the offers are simply placed on this site because of the guaranteed captive WAHM audience, rather than truly being a legitimate venture for a WAHM. Although this particular site does not require a fee for its use, some of the other programs advertised as work at home links may require up front investments or usage fees. It is safe to thoroughly investigate any business opportunity, regardless of where it is advertised.

Jobs For Moms Review Summary

WAHM’s are a highly organized, self-starting, and internet savvy group. Additionally, WAHM’s are a very influential network among themselves, and quickly spread positive or negative reviews about their experiences in similar WAHM circles. An effective WHAM job search site would be a valuable resource, even if a fee was required.
